What domain names are allowed to be registered?

Your 3rd level domain name can be no longer than 16 alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers). Hyphens ("-") may also be used, but cannot begin or end your domain name. Spaces and special characters, such as exclamation points and underscores, are not permitted.
